Our Self Healing Ceramic Coating Installation Process
To ensure your coating adheres according to the manufacturer’s specifications, we must meticulously follow their methodology. By not taking shortcuts or deviating from the process, we achieve the desired results for your vehicle. If it takes longer to accomplish this, please understand we are more concerned with quality control than speed in coating your car, truck, motorcycle, boat or RV.
STEP 1
Pre-Inspection
Before we get started, we thoroughly inspect your vehicle for any visible damage and assess what level of paint correction may be needed to address the defects. We’ll go over our findings with you and discuss your expectations to ensure we meet or exceed your goals.
STEP 2
Hand Wash
We start the wash process with a foam bath that sits on your car for about 3 minutes, loosening dirt and grime. It’s specially formulated for this purpose. Then, we move on to a decontamination process that removes road metals like brake dust – you’d be amazed at how much builds up on your vehicle! After that, we do a two-bucket hand wash and dry the car using premium microfiber towels. The goal is to get the surface as clean as possible before we begin claying the paint.
STEP 3
Clay
Even with a thorough hand wash, you don’t get the microscopic grime embedded in the clear coat. This is why we clay your vehicle. Otherwise we’d polish it and mar your paint. Here’s a shot of a piece of clay after being used on a new car!
STEP 4
Paint Correction Prep
Before we start paint correction, we take two important prep steps. First, we tape off areas that could be damaged by the machine polisher or where polish might splatter onto trim or tires. Then, we perform a second inspection using a paint depth meter to measure how much clear coat we have to work with. We also use a paint light to closely inspect for defects. This helps us determine the exact level of correction needed to achieve the best results for your vehicle.
STEP 5
Paint Correction
This is where the magic happens! Our expert paint correction technicians have the skills and experience to transform your vehicle’s paint to a finish that often looks better than showroom new. Many of our customers say their car looks even better than the day they drove it off the lot!
STEP 6
Coating Installation
After completing the previous five steps, we’re finally ready to apply the self-healing ceramic coating. For this, we use brand-new, premium-grade microfiber towels and special applicators, none of which can be reused. It’s not unusual to go through 20 or more of these high-quality towels during the process – and then toss them out!
STEP 7
Coating Inspection
Our self-healing ceramic coating is carefully leveled by hand using three towels on each panel. Occasionally, we might miss a spot, leaving a “high spot” where the coating hasn’t been properly leveled. Before the coating cures, we make sure to remove any high spots to ensure a flawless, smooth finish.
STEP 8
Initial Curing
Once we’ve removed any high spots, it’s time for the initial curing process, which means your vehicle stays in our shop overnight. You can safely drive it home the next day; however, full curing takes 7 days.
STEP 9
Delivery
Now it’s time to deliver your vehicle! We’ll provide you with a wash kit and teach you the rinseless wash method to help you care for your coated vehicle, especially during the first 7 days. You’ll drive home with the confidence that your car is fully protected by our REVIVIfy self-healing ceramic coating, and you’ll know exactly how to maintain it.
BENEFITS OF A SELF-HEALING CERAMIC CAR COATING
If you are thinking about a ceramic car coating for your vehicle, you’ll want the best value for your investment. Here are some reasons to really considering our innovative self-healing automotive paint protection car coating.
No other liquid paint protection compares to REVIVIfy’s self-healing coating. Here’s why it stands out:
- Traditional ceramic coatings, made from quartz-based silica, are similar to the screen on your LED TV—built on hardness for protection. For the last 20 years, SiO2 ceramic coatings have outperformed wax, but they don’t self-heal, nor can they protect against rock chips or pitting. In fact, they were never designed for that level of protection.
- REVIVIfy’s advanced technology works differently, relying on flexibility instead of hardness. Think about your phone case—it’s probably made from silicone or plastic, designed to absorb impact and shield your phone. REVIVIfy offers the same kind of protection for your vehicle’s paint by absorbing impacts and preventing damage.
- What makes REVIVIfy even more powerful is its silicone powder base, which has superior adhesion to metal surfaces. This means it can last over 5 years—far outlasting most traditional ceramic coatings that often fall short of their marketing claims.
- On top of its durability, REVIVIfy enhances the appearance of your vehicle’s paint, whether it’s a high-gloss finish or a satin or matte look.
- Our customers consistently notice a remarkable difference in the depth and clarity of their paint when compared to traditional ceramic coatings.
Upgrade your vehicle’s protection and appearance with REVIVIfy’s self-healing ceramic coating—designed to keep your car looking its best and protected for the long haul.
